our story
We’re a collection of InsurTech execs, machine learning gurus, litigators, and medical-legal experts. In a previous life, we managed the runoff of a $400M medical malpractice book and found the tech we needed unavailable. Actuarial analysis was a poor way to value books of litigated claims and the thumb-in-the-air methods used by defense counsel to settle them were even worse. You’re ‘on the financial hook’ for the outcomes in the runoff business. To succeed, you must value them better, resolve them faster and settle them lower. We’re now building the tech required to do that.
